I was given this laptop and I have no clue what is needed to go wireless. I have a cable modem and I know that I'll need a wireless router. My question is, what hardware will I need for the laptop? Also, does this unit have a built-in antenna, or do I have to supply one?

reason why i am asking is that I need to buy a laptop. I'm doing a digital media production course. In the course we use softwares such as, director, dreamweaver, photoshop, soundtrack and many other media softwares. At the moment I have the choice between a apple macbook pro 15" and a Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Xi 1526. I need something that will last me long and needs less maintenance, durable etc. thanks for answers

Have searched all Toshiba site and Sony site.

My PC is from 2003 perhaps that's safe, but I have to sit it on a piece of wood to keep the underside cool as it gets VERY hot!

Read the media articles but never saw any indication of where a list of dodgy models be so I could check

I am accessing internet through GPRS and of late my system (laptop) is shutting down automatically. some one suggested i must get hard disk checked as it is making some sound while active. But this problem (shutting down) does not occur while using laptop for other work (other than internet). I also had doubts about the the antivirus as well as if it is not causing the system to shut down. Also I am not get internet faster (not more than 2-3 KBPS) though internet provider indicates speed of 115kbps. I have IE 7 on my system downloaded from the MS site. kindly help.

I am thinking of switching to MacBook Pro (I am now a PC user) and I want to install my Sims 2 on it, after installing Windows on the MacBook Pro as I bought the PC version of The Sims 2. Will the notebook be good enough to play the game? There's 128MB and 256MB for video cards; will there be any difference? I just hope the game doesn't turn out choppy.

I've searched multiple websites with no luck, can anyone point me to a driver for a TSST TS-H192C cd drive? My driver file is corrupted and the disc obviously won't load because the cd rom is fried... I need to be able to download it to fix the drive.

My laptop started crashing continunously about 2 wks ago. I have done a clean-up, did a registry check and even reinstalled the driver, but it still crashes after about 20 min watching a DVD/CD.
