My laptop started crashing continunously about 2 wks ago. I have done a clean-up, did a registry check and even reinstalled the driver, but it still crashes after about 20 min watching a DVD/CD.

What is the error? Does it just freeze or actually blue screen?
If you try a different DVD and it crashes, then you'll need to look at the system resources. For instance, how much memory do you have? Do you have other programs running in the background that will take up resources? Double check on these things and it will give you good start to find out what's wrong.

either the disk has some kind of virus or your computer needs more memory
