GRRRR!!!! So anyway, on the numeric pad on the right hand side of my key board - the Zero is stuck. It's not stuck, it's just the fact that when I press the key - the button doesnt work until I press it hard.... I took off the key w/ a butter knife and cleaned out the inside(there wasnt much in there) & of course it still sticks. what the heck else can I do ! It's driving me nuts! I am at work - and enter numbers ALL DAY LONG!

my computer which ive had since 2004 is now starting to go at a snails pace.
1: 40 gb hard drive
2: 56k
3: e machine with intel
4: comcast cable for broadband speed

with the comcast broadband it use to be super fast, now i find it takes 45-60 seconds to go to another window. i have also been hearing the fan motor switch on when im switching windows. i did the speed test to check if my ISP was the problem, but the speed test was within normal limits. ive deleted all temp files and cookies and password settings. ive tried to clean up the hard drive, however i wouldnt touch anything that i wasnt familiar with, just games and such.
so how can i speed this thing up.

What is better and why?

My last two PCs that I built were on Asus main boards with AMD Athlon CPUs.
They were quieter and more reliable than my friends Pentium based PC's.

I built my current PC in 2002... so that puts it built somewhere in the computer equivilant of the Jurrasic period so it's time to upgrade.

I use my PC for Internet, Multi media and gaming.

PS. If I were to run an Athlon 64 x2 6000+ and a pair of Sli Gforce 7's would a 450W PSU be enough?

I want to upgrade my Ram on my computer. From (2 x 256mb ram = 512 mb ram) to (2 x 512 mb ram = 1 gb ram)

I buy my computer in 2001 (it was the high price computer at the time.)

Now I know I have SDRAM & DDR Ram but can't mix them togheter.

So I buy a 2 x 512 sdram pc133 (non ecc) 168 pin.

If my motherboard is to old... My 2 x 512 mb ram will change nothing compare to my actual 2 x 256mb ram??

Here is the only picture I got with my motherboard in :

You think it will fit ? and improve the speed?

THANK YOU!

what if I were to say I had a 8600GTS nVidia 256 MB? would that be enough to play the game?
