Sounds like you have Yahoo Messenger running. It definitely has its own vocabulary of sounds ...

"Closing door" - someone on your Messenger contact list signing out.

"Chime" (sounds like Tinkerbell's wand) - incoming private message, on a window that isn't the active one.

"Chime crash" (sounds like Tinkerbell's wand, then falling down the stairs) - new mail message arriving.

At a guess you have yahoo messanger running in the background (or other instant messanging program) and the sounds are those of friends on it coming online and leaving.

Check the tray icons near the clock (ose the left arrox to expand tray if needed)

That is the default sound if some of your friend is leaving or logged out in yahoo messenger.

It's the little man in the computer leaving for lunch.
Seriously, though, the door could be a result of messenger, and people on your list logging off. (could be a virus too though.)

Typically this is the sound used for your IM letting you know when one of your friends logs in or out.

cltr+alt+del, check if any messengers running. If you have no messengers running, it might've been adverstisements on webpages that might've had those sounds.
