Try to use Scan Disk to fix the problem.
Go to Start> My Computer> Right Click Hard Drive>Properties> Tools> Error Checking>Check botb options> Start.

Is this a new build computer or has it been built for a while? If it is new would suggest running 'memtest' do a search for it on google. Its a program used to check the RAM. Just a thought that it could be hitting a bad sector in the RAM and then bombing out.

Also like the post before mentioned both graphics cards and bad graphic card drivers can cause this problem. Though if this was the case you would likely not loose power to the PC itself you would only see a blank screen and the PC would continue to whir away. Hope this helps.

Could be MANY things. Try unplugging things you dont need from the motherboard. For example, unplug the cd/dvd drive and floppy drive. Then take out things like the sound card and extra usb's.

Make sure to leave the important things like the harddrive, video card and all the things you NEED for the system to get to windows. If it gets to windows, the plug in one thing at a time til you find what makes you PC reboot.

If you still aren't in windows, try a repair install. something might have gotten messed up with you original. With that, all you have to do is re-install windows updates. With the repair, all your files, pictures, and videos won't be touched.

That's what I use to have to do when I was a computer tech
