This game says Recommended: 512 MB DirectX 9.0c compatible Video card with Pixel Shader 3.0 (ATI Radeon X1600+ or NVIDIA 6800 GT/GS+ or better)

what if I were to say I had a 8600GTS nVidia 256 MB? would that be enough to play the game?

8600GTS should run that game much faster than the recommended ATI x1600 and be quite comparable as the 6800GT. 8600GTS has faster clockspeeds than 6800GT but they have the same memory bandwidth.

Its a STRAIGHT FORWARD instructions, aint it??
Follow what the game requirements and you won't go wrong.
If it say 512MB...... you jolly well know what it meant.
Putting in a 256 MB will not allow you to have the best output for your game

good luck!!

The game is saying the card has to have a minimum of 512mb yours has 256 or only half.
The game MAY load but the grapics will be poor and very choppy.
