it is a amd processor that is dual core and runs at 2.0 gig on each core has a level 2 cache of 2 x 512kb

It is AMD's dual core processor that actually runs at 2.0Ghz. 3800+ is its AMD Performance Rating. For comparison w/ the other AMD X2 processors, here's a list from AMD:
