I regularly clean keyboards from work environments, they quite happily go through the dish washer and will usually fix bad contact keys and shift all the other muck. When it comes out tip all the water out and give it a shake, a weekend in the airing cupboard or on a sunny window cill and it will be fine. Don't take off the keys, the characters rub off if they are loose. If that fails, spend a little on a new one.

If the sole difficulty you have is with the single key, then this is not any longer the motherboard. It sounds like some liquid have been given under the rubber knobby element. you need to get the keyboard replaced (which probable ability sending the unit in, and could no longer be lined via the guaranty if nonetheless under guarantee). If this is not any longer conceivable, purchase an exterior keyboard with a USB twine at any laptop keep. A laptop version is approximately $10, and a laptop version is approximately $20 (yet is smaller and greater good).
