I was just wondering when ever you watch tv shows about movies, or photos they all use Apple computers. Why is that?

hello i had purchased recently msi pro 266 motherboard based on via apollo pro266 ddr chipset and i hav all devices for this board except video card....
this board is capable of agp v2.0 4x slot could you plz advise me
which card is better supported with these specifications:
intel pentium iii 800 mhz (socket 370 fc-pga 133 MHz FSB)
256 mb ddr 200 memory (pc1600)

I have an issue with a Windows Server 2000 (SP4) machine. The Com Plus Event System Service is not starting at startup. According to the event logs It is getting stuck in "starting" mode ant then failing.

How do I reinstall this service or otherwise fix the issue?

Hello, I have had this Gateway E-4000 for about 5 years now and its been doing decently for any games that I play on it. I have upgraded the old video card to an ATI Radeon 9550 / X1050 Series. I have also upgraded the RAM from 128 to 256MB. All the other hardware has not been updated since i bought it. The times my computer seems to struggle most is during online games. In a counterstrike-source server with 20+ players, if I'm not in a small room i normally get 9-11 FPS. It also takes me a lot longer than most when I am loading into games. I have about $200 to start out with and I am wondering what I should start to upgrade first, my video card or RAM, and if it would even be compatible with my computer. I do intend to get a new desktop in the future and would like for any upgrades I make now to be compatiple on the next desktop I purchase.

I'm going to be a sophomore in high school this year and I really want my own desktop. I don't know anything about buying a computer. I'm looking for something under $1000, preferably under $700. I just would do stuff on it like homework/school projects, surf the net, download music, instant message, watch DVD's and maybe play a few games. But I'm not a major gamer or anything. I also do not want to get a mac. So what kind of computer should I get? And it would be really helpful if you could include a link. Thanks!

Ok let me rephrase my last question. Are there any hard drives for my computer that are at least 4.0 GB. I need to buy one that's enough for Call of Duty 2 for the pc. like maybe 5 or 6GB. So I'm asking if there are stores that sell any 4 5 or 6 GB hard drives?

My computer reboots whenever I play a game or a movie.
The game can be anything, fullscreen or windowed, even old SNES games wil make it freeze & reboot.
Any movie, online or offline, will make it reboot.
Windows Media Player, Media Player Classic, & VLC Player make it reboot.

I've disabled the "autoreboot on error" and all it gives is a "IRQL_IS_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" error.

I've swapped out my ram chips & switched my video card with another one, & I get the same error.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Somehow my disk defragmenter has been deleted from my computer. I have ran a search on my computer and not had any luck. I have also checked my recycle bin and its not there. I am not sure for how long it has been deleted. Any Ideas on what to do?

my virtual memory initial size was at 1920 mb and maximum size was 3840 mb. I increased initial size to 2304 mb and i have 1.5 gigs (1526) of ram. Would it be wise to increase the initial size of the virtual memory further since i have a 200gig and a separate 50 gig hard drive that i am very conservative about.

Hey! I Have a MAXDATA Favorit Computer With a Celeron D And On Windows XP Professional -
Heres the story really - i downloaded lynx onto a cd and wanted to put it into a old laptop so my sister could play around with it because it wont run xp anymore (it was designed for windows 98). Then i think one of the kids came past and put it in my mums maxdata computer i mentioned above - i dont know what it has done to it but when i press my power botton on the computer i just hear things inside it start for a second or less and then it goes off and the fan keeps going - the power light doesnt come on at all - nor the screen - the only thing that happens is that the lights on the keyboard flash for a second at first. please could you tell me how to fix it or if not, how can i just get the cd out of the computer because the warranty wont cover it if its someones fault! it wont prise open either - could you please help me :D!

I'm trying to download limewire onto my Mac. The only problem is, it requires Java 1.5 or later to run. The pop-up that informed me of this said that upgradinbg to a later version of OS X could solve this problem. But, how do I do that? Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
