Well, it is located on the motherboard itself. Depending on the particular motherboard and the layout of the motherboard it could be located just about anywhere, but it will be rather easy to recognize. It will look similar to a half-size or one third-sized memory chip (normally onboard graphics are no larger than 64MB) soldered onto the motherboard. Another way to recognized it is, the chip will have the video/graphics name on it; RealTek, nVidia, ATi, S3, etc.

If you have a schematic of your motherboard, it will probably be easier to point out.

You need to get into your bios and disable the onboard video and audio. This should force the computer to only see the ones in the slots.

You get into bios during your bootup, but before the OS starts to load.

It is usually integrated into the north bridge (thing covered with heatsink below the CPU.)
