Give it to a charity. A lot of the times the homeless center, Goodwill, Salvation Army, or other charitable organizations are thrilled to receive them. Just make sure to buy and run a sledgehammer program to permanently delete all personal information on your hard drive first. It's a win-win for everyone.

I hope u will consider donating it to any charitable organization. I went to a community college until January, and keyboarding classes had all used computers. Also, your local library has patrons who are unable to afford even a USED computer, and thats why they go to the library to use one! Libraries accept computers for these people all the time!
I am a person who "always" shares what I no longer need or want, and I hope you will think of this option.

We accept old computers and equipment for recycling. There is a $15 fee monitor disposal.

I never heard of the "my old" brand - -
must be one of those foreign makes! ;)

Seriously, though, if it's usable, consider donating it to a school (format the disk, first, though the school will probably do that, anyway, assuming they'll take an older model).

And check out the USA-based links, below
(it would have helped if you listed your city and state).

At a recycle depot. I suggest taking the hard drive out and keeping it to avoid identity theft.

Either put it at the end of the driveway or take it to your local recycling plant.
