I was looking into buying a ASUS Crossfire AMD2 Motherboard but I wanted to know if $240 was a good deal or a little much. That's about the best motherboard for an AMD2 socket and the price is as high as my budget allowes me to go... I could always save up and get something better? Is thier anything Better?

So many questions.... what to do what to do...

When i turn on my computer, it beeps for 5 seconds, then pause for 2, then continues 5-2-5-2-5-2 etc. I can't find what it means online anywhere!!!Please Help!!

I have a user at my job that is an applications developer and he has a Dell 2.13GHz Dual-Core, 2048MB RAM and a clean Hard drive. His problem is that the processes that he runs uses up half the memory and he can't open alot of applications. He can't even open Task Manager when he has like 8 programs/folders opened. I have the same exact specs as his PC and I have no problems. What should I do? More RAM? Professional advice would be appreciated.

last night, I decided to format my PC, and Partition my harddrive to stop me losing files when I format it again, but when I partitioned the drive, I had both partitions at exactly the same space , IE: 50% each which was fine, but as soon as I put windows back on my system, (XP by the way), I noticed in My computer, i still only had one hardrive listed with the full amount of space IE: 80 Gig, but I wanted 40 on each, can you tell me if windows XP can have a partition on the drive

PS i did, delete partition, and create logical drives and format all of them

I have two partitions c and d, how can i move everything from d to c (files and space)? then how do i delete the d partition?

My motherboard has only two DIMM slots for DDR-RAM I have a 512 in the first one, and "had" a 256 in the 2nd. One day I decided to clean my VERY dusty insides. I removed both modules cleaned them VERY carefully and put'em back.
Then my Bios wouldn't register my memory. Long story short both modules work fine in the first slot, neither work in the second. So my question is can I replace then slot,? Or can someone guide me to a site that I can get some more info on this?

My computer's sound isn't working... when I try to turn up the volume it just makes thesteady whine, like most speakers make when they're turned up full blast but with not sound. I've tried checking to see if the computers on mute, turned up and down the speaker, on and off . . . I can't figure it out and gets to be really annoying! Please help!

to start, i changed the password on my computer and the new one was not required until afteri restarting my machine. whe ni went to type in what i thought was the new password, it wouldn't work. in conclusion i forgot my password to log into windows on my computer.
okay, so i reinstalled windows and my copmuter is fine, except i'm not sure how to find all of my old data [files, pictures folders, programs, music ETC.] i'm at a MAJOR loss and i really need help. i'm pretty sure that my old 'stuff' was not overwritten, if anyone has ANY IDEA on how to help PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me. I have a 'Packar Bell Versa E400' Laptop.
It turns on , reaches the windows logo screen and then suddenly restarts..no error nothing.
tried booting in safe mode..still same problem
tried booting from an XP installation CD.....dosent load the cd up..
wat the hellz wrong..........plz help

Pentium 4 CPU 2.8 GHz
1.8 GHz
480 Mb of RAM (Another question I have.. Why 480 Mb of RAM when I have a 512 Mb stick?)

Dell optiplex GX110 desk top pc
has dvd/cd burner r/rw windows XP

The other is-
HP S7620N pavilion slimline desk top pc
intel t1350a core solo
1.8 GHZ 1GB ddr2 9 in 1 card reader? 802.11
hard drive 250 GB 1GB memory 256 MB also has dvd/cd burner

Which one is the best and do you know anything about the model slimline that I have listed? Thanks

I have an HP laptop but its too slow for me when I am doing my homework. It has an AMD processor and I heard Intel was a much faster processor, but there's so many to chose from!
I go to NAU Full time and all of my classes are online! I use my computer everyday for school work and then my husband uses it when he gets home to burn CD's. We would really like a fast computer, but dont want to go overboard since we only use it for school and everyday usage.
Any ideas on what type to get, or any websites/stores that offer cheap, but good computers?

I am about to purchase a Dell desktop for my kids. Dell only wants to sell me Windows vista which I do not want since I have XP on all my other computers. Can I purchase the computer with no operating system and then use the disks from my new laptop to install Windows XP? (I understand Dell's pricing structure, so no need ot tell me it is cheaper to order it with vista already on it.) Thanks.

I have a Dell™ Dimension™ 2350 Series. I put my computer in standby. i left the room when i came back in five to ten minutes. the computer was totally off. now even when i pushed the power button it doesn't turn on or even make a noise. i think that the power supply is dead is this true?

i can not put up pictures of any kind, it will not let me in to the area where your computer already has pictures for you to use either it will let me in customize your back ground but when i choose a picture it does not come up
