ignore all of the above except the alienware/dell xps answers. DO NOT GET A MAC. it will RUIN you gaming life. macs hav minimal cooling and cannot support SLI/Crossfire and other gaming-oriented configs. i could go with the XPS fro Dell or any alienware. but if you hav a lotta money (which i don't), buy a Falcon-NW Mach Five. They're THE BEST IN THE INDUSTRY. but the best way to build you own is to go to Fry's.

Also Macs are not very customizable. just look at the number of choices offered by PC sellers v Apple. PC hardware config choices outnumber Mac choices by, like 10 to 1.

Most of the large PC computer companies let you customize them, like Dell or HP.

Otherwise CyberPowerPC is also a good option to help out and have good quality priced computers.

if you want them to build it for you, alienware will customize it and so will dell. lenovo will also customize your computer. if you're looking for a game machine, alienware is top quality stuff and dell has xps line that's suitable for gaming.

ha@mac. he said he wants to play games on it, which pretty much excludes mac
