Try a system restore in SAFE mode. If it does not work, try a repair with this:

Could be a program loading that has an error and causing your machine to reboot. I would see if you can start in safe mode. Press F8 when it is starting up and see if you can go into safe mode. If you can then you can unload the programs that start at startup.

If that does not work then you might be able to roll back the machine to previous point using the utility that allows you to do that when you start the PC. If you have it, you can try the install disk and roll the computer back.

This could also be a hardware problem. In that case you need a qualified repair man. You could have a motherboard problem.

sounds like a boot sector issue.

if it's new or still under warranty, call technical support.

otherwise, use the windows cd to get to the c:/ prompt and type "fixboot" without the quotes

might be a bad motherboard
