all of a sudden my computer will not let me in to the desktop background it will only let me change the color?

i can not put up pictures of any kind, it will not let me in to the area where your computer already has pictures for you to use either it will let me in customize your back ground but when i choose a picture it does not come up

Check your permissions and the permissions on the folder where the photos are stored. Make sure they match.
