My new laptop (woo) came with an AMD Turion 64 X2 processor and 32 bit Windows Vista

Does the 64 mean that its 64 bit and could technically run 64 bit Windows?

Thanks :)

I have a AMD Dual Core 4200+ (2.2ghz), and I was wondering is there any need to upgrade it? Would a new processor really make a huge difference gaming since I already have a dual core?

it doesn't matter if i have a program up, or IE, or mozilla. i can't even right click on my icons at the desktop or when i'm writing anymore.

i had this problem once before & i rebooted the computer from a previous timestamp. it worked briefly.

i tried it this time around, & have had no success. the mouse works fine & i clean it frequently.

any advice for me people?

how has your experience been with vista? Tell me any pros and cons associated with it. Is the upgrade to vista worth it?

I need a new pc but don't have a whole lot of money to work with. Also, I don't have a credit card or a checking account, so some place that will hold my order until they receive my money and will let me send a money order would be perfect.

I have a Pentium II Gateway computer with 400 MHz and 128-258 MB of DIMM RAM Memory for Windows XP Professional Edition. I noticed that when I run photo editor it takes time to startup, and it edits pictures so slow. I also noticed that windows cannot multitask. Do I need more memory if so what would you suggest?

Someone gave me their old computer as a gift. It's a Compaq Presario that used to have Windows `95 before they removed it. Now it has nothing except a dos prompt. There's no homepage or start menu. It has a Pentium (1) processor. I was considering installing a newer version of Windows to use it for offline purposes only. I'm not sure if I would need a startup disc in order to install anything.

I am going to get a new computer and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what to look for as far as RAM or memory or gigs or whatever, because I have no idea about any of that stuff.
I use the computer mainly for surfing the net, music (burning/ripping cds & using Ipod), photo stuff (digital camera & photoshop) and using Word.
What would you suggest in a computer for me, because the guys at Best Buy are very unhelpful.
