- they are detected as 'new hardware' but 'database is locked' and drivers won't load - how do I unlock the database??
I have checked the cables, and tried uninstalling and reinstalling them - but still get the 'database locked error!
Please help - I really need to use them!!

None of these answers were any help - fixed it in the end by booting into 'safe mode' and then using 'system restore' -had to do it this way as system restore wouldn't work in windows.
