been searching forever for the solution to my bsod.... the screen says something about my driver being stuck in an infinite loop (Nv4_disp) i dont know anything about drivers and i dont play games on my computer. im tired of searching through forums and being on hold with dell customer service. ive been surviving in safe mode but i really just want it fixed.

I would say Dells are the best prebuilt systems, but I prefer making my own.

eMachines, I treat like McDonalds....only if there is no other choice, or if I'm desperate. I had a client w/ one a few months ago....Crappy, in my opinon.

It keeps shutting down & restarting when I'm using any other application, (and it tells "Microsoft windows error"). I've reinstalled again & same problem occurred. what will I do? The worst is, the file recovery doesn't work, so i can't save what i have encoded in any office application.

Which processor it''s faster.
Intel core 2 duo, 1.66ghz, or Intel core duo 1.73ghz.
If your answer is the Intel Core duo 1.73ghz, why? then the Core 2 Duo it's more expensive.

i'm thinking about purchasing a linksys wireless-g notebook adapter it has 2.4 ghz and 802.11g (not sure what that means). anyways, i have an HP laptop with built in wireless and was wondering if i purchase the card will the speed be faster? i have a weak signal in the building i live in and was wondering if my internet would be faster if i purchased this card. thanks.

I am currently looking at two different processors. One is a X2 5200+ with 2x1mb L2 cache and the other is a X2 5400 with a 2x512 L2 cache. Should I sacrafice L2 for processing speed or go with the slower 5200? Can't aford the 5600 w/ 2x1mb L2. And a 2.8 ghz duel core pentium with a 2x1mb L2 has only 800 mhz fsb. AMD is 1000 fsb.

My PC has a normal CD drive so I can't watch DVDs; my friend just gave me a DVD-Rom drive and my PC doesn't have an extra drive slot. Can I just open the PC, unplug the CD drive I have and plug in the DVD-Rom drive so that I could start watching DVDs on my PC? Do I need a sofwatre or I can get one free online?

He also gave me a TV card; what's that for and how does it work? Does this also need a software?
