I'm using ubs mouse now, my laptop has been thru some stuff...lol...

Try running it in safe mode and then run some adaware/antivirus programs. Look at the startup screen to see what button to push [something along the lines of delete or the F# keys]

Check your drivers, and try using a usb mouse, could be the mouse is worn out of something has messed with the drivers.

sometimes laptop mouces get stuck or freezes... some times it comes back but rarely. If i were u i would but a usb wireless mouse for laptops... it works a lot better than the mouse pad... try this- http://froogle.google.com/froogle?q=laptop+usb+mouse&btnG=Search

It could be faulty, could also use a good cleaning. Wipe off the pad, too.

hi,
get an infra-red usb mouse. its the best. you dont even need a mouse mat, it works on any surface.
