Hi, My computer fan is spinning too fast and is creating too much noise. The average speed is around 34000-35000RPM with a computer temperature around 35-40 degrees celcius
How do I lower the fan speed?, because it is just too loud :(

My current laptop is 4 years old and the Microsoft Vista Upgrade Advisor program said that there is not enough RAM (only 512mb RAM) and graphics memory (only 64mb graphics) on my laptop. My laptop works fine with Windows XP but it is a bit slow. Someone told me that you can't upgrade laptop graphic cards and therefore, is it worth it to buy a new laptop with Microsoft Vista? I think there is a lot of hype for Microsoft Vista and I also want to join the band wagon and buy Microsoft Vista but will it be worth it?

The ram i have is DDR 400 PC3200 and the mobo says it can run it. The problem is that the motherboard manufacturer released a liist of compatible/recommended ram and mine isn't on the list. Will it work.

The other drives are working, have ran a startup disc and it tells me that the C drive is missing. If I try and change from D drive to C it will not change. How can I fix this problem? Any and all help will be appreciated.

i put the recovery diskette in and it wants me to type something

i'm no programmer now.
I put in recovery cd it nearly goes through the whole process of recovering my pc then a message appears error not enough hard drive space. probably have even used half the space when it worked... Shall i just call out an engineer or buy a new pc?

I've got a 3 in 1 printer scanner and photocopier but i haven't used it in ages. I'm trying to scan a photograph to store in my computer but have no idea how. i just installed a new harddrive and it shows and everything. but my old harddrive is full. how do i make my new internal harddrive my main harddrive. they are both installed and the old one is 30gb andthe new one is 200. help!

I bought a barebones box w/ motherboard /power supply /fan and processor fan. I unscrewed the fan, installed the processor then remounted the cooling fan. I put the RAM in correctly then installed the Hard Drive (connected it to the motherboard and power supply and also did the same for the CD Burner.

The machine turns on and both fans are working. Trouble is nothing comes up on the screen and the DVD player wont even work , no light/ wont eject door. (I have it set to master)

Any one have any ideas or diagnosis?

This is the first computer I put together so I'm green and need help.

i just bought battefield 2 the complete collection and when i start it up it plays the intro and then when you reach the page were you selcet your name my computer screen blink a couple of times than it say my graphic driver has stoped and it resets my desktop.i have a ati radeon 256mb graphic card and i don`t know what to do i spent 40$ on this game and i need help fast.

I'm 15 years old, dad says i'm gonna get a new comp soon. I get to choose (not something crazy expensive) which desktop.

I want to get a computer which is between okay and good for gaming i.e. will play games e.g. Warcraft 3, runescape,
PERHAPS WoW and ea rugby 06 etc. but nothing crazy like battlefield 2142. However my priorities are mainly blogging using e.g. facebook etc. and doing work.

My business technology teacher wants to set up firewire in her room, but doesn't want to have to install 40 firewire cards on her computers..... She is wanting to know a way to hook a hub(or something else external) up by firewire to video cameras, and the out on the hub being USB 2.0 to a server/large hard drive. How can she do this??
