I would suggest using RipIt4Me/DVD Shrink/DVD Decrypter. This will allow you to "burn" an archival copy, later. RipIt4Me will create a full-sized DVD file you can play with Nero, Power DVD, etc.. It also "rips" Disney and Sony DVD's, removes those large blank areas, and a number of other obstacles to a good "rip".

All 3 of these programs are free. Can be a little daunting, at first, but it's really easy once it's set up. RipIt4Me is also well-supported by users who feel you should be able to back-up your DVD's in case of damage, theft, etc..

You might have mis-configured the software program. You just don't immediately burn the image files, you need to specify to the program that you're burning the image to a DVD-R. Not to a CD-R (Most programs default to burning in a CD-R media.)

I suggest changing your options in the program you're using.

ImgBurn burns DVD just fine. You're talking about COPY'ing DVDs, which is something else, as lots of DVD's are copy protected. Please be more specific on what you're trying to accomplish. It's hard to help you if you don't even give us an error message to work with!
