I want to use a program for making websites MRSite, but I can't use it very well because I need to have more than 2 RAM which I haven't got.
My question is this. How do I get more RAM?

Ram is a chip that simply plugs into your motherboard. It looks something like this:

First, go to http://www.crucial.com to see what kind of RAM you need. There are several different kinds of RAM.

Next, open up your computer to see if you have any spare slots to put it in. If you do, then you're good. If you don't, you'll have to pull one out to replace with a bigger capacity chip.

Then, buy the RAM and slap it in. It is fairly straight-forward. If you don't trust yourself to do this without killing your computer (hey, weve all done it at least once... ) you can pay Geeksquad at your local Best Buy or someone to do it.

Here is a step-by-step guide to do it yourself:

Hope this helps!

Check out the Crucial site, someone posted the link; theres a limit to how much RAM you motherboard can recognise, and theres alimit to how much Windows can use as well so don't buy too much!
XP Home can only use 2 gigs, XP pro can use 6 (I think) but your motherboard also needs to be able to use it or you just waste money.

I suppose you could always ask your local sheep farmer! sorry couldn't resist it. If you feel comfortable popping the case of you PC then open it up and look at the RAM it should tell you what type it is, if not take your PC to the PC shop and ask for more. I reckon if you can afford it at least double the memory you have. If you need good graphics capability you should consider upgrading your graphics card.

Go to the following link, http://www.crucial.com/uk they can do an on line check which will determine which ram your motherboard supports. They will recommend the optimum amount. You can order on line and although they are not the cheapest it is wort paying for good ram. They guarantee compatibility with your motherboard and give an excellent warranty. I have used them many times and always been satisfied. Hope this helps.

it is usual for 32-bit variations of living house windows workstation working structures. you could lose everywhere from 256MB to 1GB through would desire to order handle area for reminiscence-mapped I/O gadgets. A sixty 4-bit version of living house windows won't have this issue, or a 32-bit version of living house windows that helps PAE (actual handle extension) once you initiate the workstation, the BIOS would desire to wisely bump into all 4GB or RAM.

You can purchase from any computer store. Just make sure you take all the details of your computer with you, Make, model, year etc so they give you the correct type of ram.
You can install it yourself or they may do it for you for a nominal fee.
