I set my laptop down in gum. How do I get the gum off?

Don't get any water into the laptop -- but in order to remove the gum, you have to harden it so you can pick it off.

Take something from the freezer. Wrap it in a damp cloth (not wet - wring it out good) , and hold the laptop on top of it until the gum hardens.
