I have a fairly new HP Entertainment laptop. Whenever I am on IE it freezes after 15 mins or so. I have to go into the task manager and close out the IE process and start all over. This has grown to be extremely annoying. I have run spybot and bazzooka and nothing helps. I have symantec and no virus have occured.

Please help!!!

I currently have Pentium 4, 2.8Ghz, 256 RAM running Windows XP. At times it gets very slow and cannot handle more than one or two on-line applications without slowing down. What minimum spec should I go for in a new PC - I have no interest in getting MS Vista

I recently cracked the screen of my laptop and had it replaced under warranty...but now, the screen will periodically turn black for a few seconds. Usually it will come back up if I press some keys. I know it isn't in hibernation because it happens while I'm doing something (it blacked out twice while I was typing this question). Should I go back to the place I got it fixed?

I have a ABit AV8 motherboard, onboard audio, and frontpanel audio.
Today I bought a Sennheiser Headset, plugged it in, and it had problems detecting it. Therefore, I put the frontpanel audio on. Now the headphones and surround system both work perfect. No problem.
The problem lies with my mic.
Whenever I want to record something with my microphone, it does not record what I say, but records what I play with WinAMP at that time. It's like I plugged it in an audio-out, but the color is clearly pink, and on my mobo it does say MIC IN. It's not that I have plugged it in incorrectly, but there's something else wrong. I have no idea what.
NOTE: I have installed all the motherboard drivers correctly. Maybe it's usefull if I say that I too know shizzle about hardware, so you can explain it the way you want.

Sorry if it's a lot to read.

Greetings,
Simon

There has to be an easier way to remove those heavy-duty retainer clips that hold the heatsink to the CPUs (socket 370). I've successfully removed a couple, but last night I 'fatally' nicked a CPU with a metal chopstick while the heatsink went airborne across the desk.

Ok i got a weird problem,

whenever I plug in my xbox 360 controller (wired) to my PC the internet stops working. It connects slowly, tells me I am connected and then nothing but the timer clockface appearing in the bottom left corner. I can't even connect if I unplug it until I restart the comp.

Anyone got a clue,

Thanks

I saw a 600-Watt power supply and it costs only $70 Canadian Dollars. However, when comparing to the others, I see there is quite a big difference while other cost around $100 or higher. So, anyone think there will be problem for this $70 power supply? May be bad quality? Thanks.

I might be entirely ignorant but I've heard Ghz of a processor is how fast it processes information and it seems like many of the dual core processors only reach around 2.6 Ghz max is it because its actually double that because as the name is a dual core its doing twice what the Ghz say. I dont know anyway thanks for your answers.
