is there a noticable difference between
intel core 2 duo 1.8 2 mb L2 cache and
intel core 2 duo 2.4 4 mb L2 cache
purpose gaming and video recording.
explain please.

Lots of things make computers run faster. A lot depends on the particular task you are doing.

Video processing and games tend to be processing intensive, so the size of the cache doesn't matter. The faster the processor the better. 2.4 is faster than 1.8 (this is the speed of the clock, and as the processer is the same, it is really the speed of the processor).

The cache has a big impact on most business type computing, especially database processing. But it doesn't have much impact on what you need.

But for try video speed you want to invest your money in a fast video card.

There will be a very noticable difference if playing high end games, recording high quality video, or running multiple programs at once. If you are doing any of these and have the money, go for the high memory high speed version.

considerable. the L2 cache for starters. the speed is rather insignificant but the performance is lightyears. go with the 2.4 if you can afford it. you will have an overall better experience
