looks like u entered a large number that is beyond the capacity of your disk for a partition, Partition Magic should give the above mentioned error message.

It sounds like you or someone used Partition Magic or another partitioning software to change your partitions. The error means that one of the partitions exceeds the capacity of your hard drive. You'll have to use Partition Magic to resize your partitions again. Accept the suggested values and do not increase them.

Could be a better idea to back up all your work and reinstall windows if you dont own partition magic, or if you never used it to partition your drive. What i would do before you do anything would be to check the drive for errors:
1. double click on my computer
2. right click on drive with problem
3. select properities from the right click context menu
4. Click on tools tab at the top of the properities window
5. Under ERROR CHECKING dialog box click on CHECK NOW
6. tick the two boxes in the dialog window that pops up and then click on START button
7. Click on YES on the new popup dialog box to restart your computer.

When the computer restarts it will automatically start to test the state of your hard drive and fix errors as it finds them.

If no errors where found then I would suggest to reinstall your windows machine fresh from your recover cd of windows cd and choose clean installation, following the instructions.

Hope this helps!!
