very very carefully cute the CD into a 3.5" square diskette shape and insert it into your floppy drive.

if that doesnt work... and it totally should... buy a new optical drive.

The only way outside of another optical drive via USB, etc. is to have your boot hd set up and copy the image via network connection. Its not bulletproof, nor always an easy endeavor, but it can work. Depends on your OS also, I've done it with Windows and Linux.

You need to go buy a new CD drive. You can't load an OS from a CD without a drive (unless someone you know has a portable external one). They are very inexpensive...less than $50.

buy a new optical drive, install it, use it to install the new os, then return the optical drive.
