my keyboard isn't working, i have a ps/2 connection, what can i do?

p.s. when i unplug it and then replug it the cap, scroll and # lock light up but then nothing happens.

I want to purchase a notebook costing about £1000 from the USA.

What are customs procedures in dealing with this?

I read that notebooks are exempt from duty charges, but do I still need to pay VAT?

If it is shipped to me via airmail, is it guaranteed to be opened by Customs?

I have ordered smaller items from the USA through eBay, and never paid any custom duties or taxes in all this time...

Hi, I saw this deal for a Dell Dimension E521 Desktop that comes with a 19" LCD and looks like it is fully loaded for $529.

Is that good? Or should I hold out for a better deal?

I found it at http://dealchatter.com in the "#1 deal of the day section".

It looks like it's only for one day.

I am to start university in september - either Computer science or Software engineering and i was wondering would there be any difficulty in using a new Macbook Pro (When leopard comes out) with any situations i may come across within the course.
i.e Programming , testing , software dev etc
i have used both Windows and Mac software and must say i love the Mac - this is why i want to by the macbook pro 17" 2.16 ghz with leopard

I know what changing the usb you put a device into can confuse it sometimes but if i cant find any usb port that will recognise my device is there something i can do to make it recognise it??thank you

Drivers for it? I purchase it used and it has been tested so I know it is working, but I can't find it on the internet.

my computer hasnt done this until recently, and i have tried updates for windows, graphics card, anti-virus, anti-spyware, etc., as well as run all my scans, disc clean up, and defrag (i do all the above regularly).... lately when i play games on my comp and then go back to the desktop it switched to a low graphics mode of some sort where the icons no longer hav a picture and when i go to various folders they are in the simpler graphic format withou visual styles and smoothed edges and such. performance seems fine, and nothing else ive noticed is different. input please, thank you.

I know that 8800gts 320mb is better then 7900gt but it's much more expensive too.I'am a mid-range gamer and the reason im considering to buy a 8800gts 320mb is that it supports Direct X 10 and it's gonna last me at least 3-5 years before i have to upgrade.However, i save cash by buying 7900gt but it doesn't support directx10 and i have to upgrade my video card sooner.What should I do?

My office has a bunch of used printer and copier toner cartridges and I have been given the unfortunate task of finding a way to get rid of them. I say unfortunate because it seems impossible to find a company that will take these off my hands unless it is to exchange old cartridges for new ones. Any ideas?

I recently was forced to reinstall my OS on my Dell Latitude Notebook. Now that it is up and running again I cannot connect to the internet through a LAN. I know I need a driver for my ethernet card but I do not know how to get it without be connected to the internet. If anyone has any solutions or has experienced similar problems any information would be great.

I'd like to buy a kneeling chair, so that I can also sit in an other position when using the computer. The problem is with the kneeling chair I cannot hold the keyboard in my lap which I usually do when I use my normal chair.

I cannot use my desk either, because then the monitor would be to close (it's not a big desk).

Is there any existing solution to use a keyboard with a kneeling chair? I don't want to buy a new desk if possible.

Is there a separate "keyboard holder" thingie which I could put in front of my kneeling chair (no, my desk doesn't have any)? Can you recommend some sites where I could find such things?

I'm also interested in alternative ideas if you have any.

I have read over some of the questions that have been posted but none of them help in this matter. I have a mic built into my head phones/ear piece. I can hear sound coming from my ear piece when listening to music but when it comes to talking into my mic there is no sound coming from it. I've tried going to sound manager and the settings but nothing is helping. No my mic isn't bad. I had to load Windows Vista again and evrything seems to be working but my mic. I have all my settings on high for the volume. Any suggestions?
