i need it to have the following features for sure but be about 650$ give or take 100$...
webcam, microphone, sd card reader, and some ablity to play movies since i will be mailing them...

please help, i cannot seem to find out if all the features are on a computer.

perhaps the biggest physical change from direct x9 to x10 is to give the gpu the ability to fully render graphics without the need to rely as heavily on the cpu. quad core processors big saleing point is gaming
do you think you'd benefit from quad-core and is it worth it?

Windows 98 discovered that station C: (Harddisc) does not contain a legal FAT or FAT32 partition. How can I solve the problem without loosing my data on the harddisc. If I boot my computer with a startup disc, it still would not solve the problem. I have tried to run a program called Testdriv from Seatools without luck. Can anyone help.

Ok so i love the game the sims 2. Our computer has all the requirements to play it except for the memory issue as we have 5 user accounts all playing. I was hoping to load the game onto an external hard drive and then playing it from there instead of loading it onto my internal hard drive. If i did do this when i inserted the game play disk would it ask me 2 install onto the internal hard drive each time or could i just select game play from my external hard drive? I do realise that this could make the game run slower but my main issue would be the effects on the computer itself. I was intended to get a 80gb+ external hard drive with at least a usb 2.0 connection. Can anybody give me any tips on this subject and help me through the process. Also it would be nice 2 know how well the outcome of all this would be. any tips and help would be greatly apppricated. This external hard drive will only be used for sims 2 game play and saving files concerning the game. Thank you in advance

I have Labtec speakers and they are not working. I know that the speakers are not the problem as i had tried 2 other sets and they are also not working. I know that the leads are plugged in the right places, therefie it is the computer that has the problem. They have been fine for the last year up until now,

Also this happens when only firefox browser is running and messengers.
I have a 512 + 128 MB DDR RAM and AMD 2600+ - 1.9 GHz processor.
Will Reinstalling the Winodws XP would help?

When switched on the black screen is asking to introduce a bootable device and press any key. When the CD ROM (with Windows XP) provided by manifacturer is introduced nothing happens.
However, when I leave the CD ROM in and restart my PC it is able to recognize it and start trying to reboot. Yet when finished the following message appears:
"A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow this steps:
Check for viruses on your computer. Remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive controllers. Check your hard drive to make sure it is properly configured and terminated. Run chkdsk /F to check for hard drive corruption and then restart your computer."
