My Task Manager shows me CPU usage in a very wierd pattern...its like a up n down graph just like a HILL.?

Also this happens when only firefox browser is running and messengers.
I have a 512 + 128 MB DDR RAM and AMD 2600+ - 1.9 GHz processor.
Will Reinstalling the Winodws XP would help?

Firefox uses ALOT more memory and CPU than IE. This does sound like a memory problem and a quick fix would be closing some other unused programs. If you use a virus scanner program these also sucks up TONS of memory. Try closing some unused programs and if that doesn't work, you might need more memory.
