I already have a 10/100 card that came with my motherboard--Im on cable internet--Gateway model pc-T6528-main circuit board#MS-7207G 100-AMD64 processor 3500-ram 1.5GIG.

Gigabyte ethernet is designed for LAN usage mostly ....it won't increase your interent speed because THAT is set by your provider & the 10/100 card is already not used to its limit so far as that goes.
