Ok so i love the game the sims 2. Our computer has all the requirements to play it except for the memory issue as we have 5 user accounts all playing. I was hoping to load the game onto an external hard drive and then playing it from there instead of loading it onto my internal hard drive. If i did do this when i inserted the game play disk would it ask me 2 install onto the internal hard drive each time or could i just select game play from my external hard drive? I do realise that this could make the game run slower but my main issue would be the effects on the computer itself. I was intended to get a 80gb+ external hard drive with at least a usb 2.0 connection. Can anybody give me any tips on this subject and help me through the process. Also it would be nice 2 know how well the outcome of all this would be. any tips and help would be greatly apppricated. This external hard drive will only be used for sims 2 game play and saving files concerning the game. Thank you in advance

Hi, First, Memory (RAM) has NOTHING t do with hard drive storahe space.

So, installing Sims on another drive won't help with a low memory (RAM) problem.

However, *IF* you're talking about low storage space and NOT computer memory (RAM), it MAY be possible to install Sims on another drive other than your C: drive.

You can check the Owner's Manual to see if it tells you IF you can install Sims on another drive other than C:.

IF it doesn't inform you of such, You can simply start to install Sims and TAKE NOTICE of the On Screen Messages to see *IF* it allows you to chose a drive to install to other than your C:

Your exterior not easypersistent ought to coach as an icon on your reveal screen. in basic terms drag and drop each and everything you like on thatpersistent. in case you elect to sparkling area on your device's not easypersistent then do not overlook to delete however you progression onto the Lacie as quickly as you have checked that it has transferred efficiently. in case you elect to start putting stuff rapidly on the Lacie then in basic terms specify it because of the fact the holiday spot whenever you maintain some thing. you have a great volume of ability because it stands and that i'm uncertain why you elect to bypass stuff onto the Lacie, except it particularly is for motives of backup, that's clearly a good theory. it particularly is a shame you're actually not on a Mac, as you may then have, on Leopard, the techniques-blowing Time device facility which will advise on no account dropping something ever lower back. in case you do not think of you're a lot good at desktops make your next one a Mac - they are less difficult, smarter, and cooler than a workstation, and a lot much less complicated to apply. Vista is the place Mac replaced into approximately ten years in the past.
