When we want to hide the folder, we can do so by clicking "do not view hidden files" , For this we should open "Folder options" in the "tools" menu from the tool bar from the top of the window. but i am not able to get that "folder options" from the Tools menu

Perhaps you are not the Administrator of the PC & your account has been denied that user right.

You must be in Explorer, not Intenet explorer.
Start -> Right click on it, Explore.
Tools -> Folder Options
View tab.

hahaha..... your computer infected with virus brontok from indonesia.
update your antivirus,scan it and use program called brontok remover.find it some where.
to make sure, now can you open your registry editor?
if it can't , sure your computer infected with brontok
