Ok, at home the power was going in and out due to a storm, making the computer turn on and of constantly. Finally we just turned the computer off Now we have power back, now the screen and speakers get power but its like the computer just wont get power??
Its just dead? Did it blow a fuse or something???
Oh yeah, its an e machines computer if that helps

You need to contact the service centre. The printer was working fine before this. Is there semething that I can reset to continue working or is it knackered.

I recently uninstalled the Vista Transformation pack from www.windowsxlive.net. As soon as i restarted my computer after uninstallation I found that I could on longer use programs like Firefox, iTunes and Windows live Messenger by double clicking on them, so I had to right click and click open to open the files. I decided that there was obviously something wrong so I tried to use System Restore which under Start>All Programs, but this didn't work and so I had to do the same thing right click and click open for the application to start. The system restore didn't change anything so I don't know what to do, I need help. Can anyone help me?

i bought a 1gb ram for my laptop. I already have a 256mb ram in my 1st slot. Should I put the bigger size ram in the 1st slot? and the smaller size ram in the second slot? Does it matter where my bigger size ram goes in?

I have an eMachines T2685 Desktop Computer, I have bought 1GB of RAM for it, (2 sticks of 512) and when I put it in, it will boot up just fine, but will only display that I have 512 of RAM in there. I took out the old stick and put in the new stick, and it said that it was there. I put them both back in, and it only showed 512 again! Please help

hey there guys..i am searching for the best laptop which is worth the money spend on it. Could anybody help in this?

I prefer large storage space, quick processing and centrino ofcourse...its real hard finding the best bargain or ascertaining that you are making the right decision.

There is always the temptation of waiting for a month and see if a company comes up with a better one or if the prices are slashing!

this puter is a Toshiba Laptop model A105-S4397. It has a 15.4 Screen, Intel Centrion Duo , 1024MB Memory, and 160 GB Hard Drive. Is this a good deal for 898, or should I keep looking? What does satalitte ready mean? Also what is the difference between a lap top and a notebook?

when i play music through anything wmp winamp whatever there is a clicking noise every now ang again like im playing vinyl. ive heard it before on another pc somewhere ant wernt that bothered cos mine is reet. is there a simple cure he dont need a new sound card does he i think its a ac97 or something like mine but his sounds crap as this question has already been asked but was not answerd ill ask again and add that there is definatly nothing wrong at all with the speakers or the headphones he bought or the speakers that came with the machine. its not a constant clicking but its there so i only hear it when music is played but im sure it is with all the sound. there is nothing at all wrong with the music i have played cds on there mp3s from my car stereo which play fine in the car. im sure its there when you are gaming but you dont notice as much cos you are busy

Here is the situation: I have a new mobo and when I installed it windows would only start in safe mode so I decided to reinstall windows. I have a Maxtor 6Y200M0 Diamond Plus 9 HD and windows does not support it. When reinstalling windows says to press f6 to install drivers for scsi or raid devices so I press that and it ask for a floppy. I went on Maxtors website and got the drivers and when I try to use to it just says "the file txtsetup.oem could not be found". Should I be trying to use drivers from the mobo manufacturer? BTW, my mother board is a MSI K8M890M2-V. Can anyone help me or tell me what I need to do to get windows to work with my HD?

I plugged in my external hard drive last night, my computer assigned a drive letter, I was able to move data around and everything worked perfect. I turned my computer off before I went to bed, woke up, turned it back on and realized I had left the HD on. Windows wouldn't boot, because I had something in the USB (does the same thing when my IPod is plugged in). So I turn the power off to my external, hit reset on the computer, and waited for Windows to boot completely. I turned the power to the external on, and now Windows won't recognize it. Any ideas?
