Most are recycled thru the MFG disposed of for security reasons or given to charitable organizations for use.. reselling junkers? sounds good on paper but... then again alot of things do.. alot of low budget warehouse stores do that here they generally buy in bulk the entire lot for sale from a corporation which in some cases can be1 to 10 tractor trailer loads site unseen for cash... I recently bought a small load of 22 in monitors sure 35$ each but i had to lay out alot of cash 1200 units or $42,000.00 plus transp and ins plus warehousing them till sold all said n done I laid out 68,000.000 cash up front, sat on the loss for 6 months and made a miniature profit of 15$ per unit. When you buy lots you must take the entire lot and have cash on the spot to get the deal if not the other guy does, but most of us dont have a 300,000 sq ft or bigger warehouse to store stuff in huh?
* one idea though, call around to local banks, and govt agencies see if you can speak to the person who oversees the handling of these machines.. or perhaps do a local gov agy search to purchasing govt auctions, resales etc... either way good luck...

Since WEEE came into force Companies must dispose of unwanted laptops etc. in an environmentally friendly way.

Any reputable company thus strips out the hard disks (and has these crushed - since no matter how well 'wiped' it is still possible to recover data from them) before disposing of the rest of the computer via a Certificated recycling company (one with the appropriate permits).

For sure, no reputable Company would sell unwanted electrical equipment to the general public
