a 3.00 Ghz pc - is it really needed when next year they will release a 4Ghz version. If they wanted to they could pump up the power of processors and all parts 100 fold, but they dont cause they want to make money by slow drips... as people will want to keep up with the latest stuff. I just bought 2x1GB OCZ EL DDR2 PC2-6400 / 800 MHz / Enhanced Latency / Platinum Edition sticks that are supposed to have 4-5-4-12 timing.

When i plug them into my ASUS P5W-DH motherboard with an Intel Core 2 Duo E6300, the stick's SPD reports that they are PC2-5300...what gives?

my cd tray started going crazy a couple months ago, opening and closing on its own..I have an HP and after trying numerous things it stopped so not sure what fixed it. When i turned on my monitor today i noticed horizontal lines flickering. I haven't changed any settings, it just started randomly. It's a 19 in Balance lcd monitor, ive had it for about 2 years. my pc has a athlon 64 3300+, sapphire radeon x800gto 256MB, XP home SP2. I tried rebooting and adjusting the refresh rates with no progress. A couple times the monitor would go black, not turn off, for a sec then come back on. The flickering lines have decreased in # but i still see one every 10-15 seconds. I checked my connections. I haven't had any issues like this so far. Could it be a power issue? or is my monitor taking a dump on me? Any help, tips, solutions would be appreciated.

I hooked my comuter (XP) up to the tv with a s video and i went thrugh display, settings, advanced, display tab and when i made my tv #1 i could only see the screen and my tasks on the tv and just my background on the comuter and the other way around when the comuter was #1 any help would be appreciated.

Don't have much hope, just curious if anyone who has Olivetti (I am sorry I have bought and would never recommend) ever experienced the following:
both cartridges are inside, colour and black, black nearly gone, colour 80% full, but it won't print, says "Colour ink cartrideg is not detected".

Does this mean I have damaged the cartridge? Or the printer?

I bought a brand new computer 1 month ago.Everything has been fine until today.When I turn the computer on half of my desktop icons are gone.I heard awhile ago that a virus can do that so I ran my Norton and it shows no viruses.Also I go to the START button then to ALL PROGRAMS and some of the programs are still in there but when I try to access them nothing happens.Any ideas onto what is happening and how to fix it? I have a Dell.No one has had access to this computer except me in the last 3 days so I know no one deleted anything and the Recycle Bin is empty.

I've got loads of viruses, basically loads of crap on my other discdrive which i want to use as its loads of memory but it's real slow & things keep popping up on the screen when i fit it.
CAN I erase everything on it & start again keeping the memory?
