Suppose a logical AND operation is to be performed on two operands. The first operand is B3B2B1B0 where Bi is a binary digit. Supply a second operand so that the result is B3B2B1B0

My question is not flawed. And the first operand has been supplied and the output or result has been supplied. i need to know what i need to input with the first operand to get the result given. or in simple terms - 1 + ? = 4 (here is one input and the answer i need to work out what the other input is to make 4 in this case 3 is the other input)

First off an AND operation means that in order for that to work you need to have something to both inputs of the operation to get one result.

simple


binary === 0 or 1

also AND refers both equal to get output
( remember we should not add just
regularize on (1) off (0) states)

1 1 1 1
+
1 1 1 1

= 1 1 1 1 ok.

In boolean logic
any number .AND.1 is itself, so in your case the answer is 1

I studied this stuff in the late 70s
