Don't have much hope, just curious if anyone who has Olivetti (I am sorry I have bought and would never recommend) ever experienced the following:
both cartridges are inside, colour and black, black nearly gone, colour 80% full, but it won't print, says "Colour ink cartrideg is not detected".

Does this mean I have damaged the cartridge? Or the printer?

Thanks ...

If the cartridges were removed from the ink bay and were exposed to air for a long period of time, this can cause the ink head to become dry and subsequently damage the cartridge. Also, it is often recommeded that you leave the empty cartridges in the ink bay until you have new ones and is making an immediate replacement. Failure to do so can cause the ink nozzles within the printer to dry up and become clogged. This will ruin the printer, and even if you get it working the quality of prints can be compromised.
