the screen just went black, but you can see that its still working...its like a blub burned out or something...can anyone help?

I've only had my computer for about 3 months and it hasn't done this until i got the internet hooked up. When I start my computer it doesn't start windows on it's own.. its goes to a black screen with white lettering telling me how much disk space i have, and just random stuff and at the bottom it says "Floppy disks failed (80)" I don't have a floppy drive on my computer so I dont know what it's talking about. Then below that it says press F1 for Setup or F2 to Continue I went to setup nothing makes sense to me and I dont want to screw anything up my computer runs fine after I press F2 it's just annoying that i can press the power button on my tower and come back 10mins later when my desktop should of been ready for me but I get this Press F2, If ANYONE knows how to fix this I would appreciate it, Thank you! =)

Ok this is day two of my right click and left click buttons randomely stopping working. The thing is, they will work in a few programs still, but not in others. It's not the mouse I think because not only does it happen with the corded mouse, but also with the built in laptop mouse. I restart and they return to normal function but I'm getting tired of restarting every 10 minutes.

I want to install XP, take out 98 but don't want to lose just 1or 2 things. The rest I don't care if lost. does it normally take 2-3hrs. to install? or longer? I went to windows update to figure out how but I don't understand the PC Lingo quite yet. Also I have 25 critical updates that need to be updated. It says to do separate cause of exclusive ones??I don't know if I install first or remove them first? I would like to try to update the 98 first to learn how on this PC before I do add & install XP. I need the experience of how to do stuff correctly. can anybody help? I hope I have not confussed ya?? the way I still remain? Thank you so much for your time & patience.

My pc does not load images or has problems loading when it is left idle for more than 30mins. Sometimes after browsing the internet for an extended period of time, it would not load the images and i would then have to restart my pc. What's wrong with my pc?Is it my graphics card?

I had my Apple Powerbook G4 15 in 1.5Ghz sent in. They tightend the screen hinges, but they took out the 3rd party ram i had installed. They did the bla bla about how it could burn out the logic board. The ram was working great the previous 6 or so months. I have not yet re installed the ram.

for those who can help my previous question is in their, so now when i start windows at the black screen it seems it has TWO installations of XP, i click on the first and it works fine and is the one with the situation described in the Question above, the 2nd one..i try to start and i get "Windows Could not start because of a computer disk hardware configuration problem.Could Not read from the selected boot disc.Check boot path and disk hardware.Please check the Windows documentation bout hardware disk configguartion and your hardware reference manuals for additionaal info"
what is wrong with my Pc?? :( should i try removing my 300gb hd and just messing with the 200gb the cpu originally came with? but what can i do if the recovery wizard does not fix it or finish (i had recoveredfine other times)any suggestionsthx

My laptop screen has a stuck pixel i don't care about that but, sometimes i get a giant wight line across the screen. it goes from the right hand side to the left so i flick the right hand side really hard and then it will disappear. is my laptop screen stuffed. if so does anybody know a company that ships to Australia for replacement laptop screens. and don't tell me to go to the computer manufactures website.

I BOUGHT A NEW HARD DRIVE AND AM USING IT AS THE MASTER DISK BECAUSE MY OLD ONE HAS A PROBLEM BUT IT WORKS, MY OLD DISK DRIVE AM USING IT AS A SLAVE. I have a Pentium 4 HP laptop with 512 MB of RAM (128MB is shared) I don't play games or use it heavily but why is it so slow? Their are times where Mozilla won't work but IE will or vice versa. The weird thing is, is that it happened rather suddenly, I have checked for viri (clean) and for spy ware (Completely clean too believe it or not).

I guess my question is. Is there going to be a new Intell CPU that will use Pentium D Power Levels and fit Pentium D boards or should i buy a new board and CPU, but then this i means i need new ram, because hardly any Core 2 Duo boards use 667 ram.

I have laptop , but some of the hardwares are missing the drivers. my PCI modem, and my VGA, and base system device.
I don't know the name of these hardwares. Is there any way to find out which drivers are needed for these hardwares to function properly? Is there a software that searches my computer and finds out which drivers to install?

My question is this, I have been haveing media player issues since I installed this new motherboard. My media Player will load but fails to stream anything, Thus went to different types of players and same thing. I have tried many many ideas on what to do and none have helped. I did reformat my PC after putting the new motherboard in and installed everything off the cd it came with. So I have read that upgrading my BIOS might help me but I am unsure of doing that. It seems alot of people said things can go wrong when updateing BIOS. So is this maybe what needs to be dont to fix this? Maybe take the PC in and have them deal with it? Any help please this has been killing me for weeks.
