With half of that you can build one better than a Alienware or a Dell.

I built one for $1500. you buy alien your paying for the name and nothin more. its not hard to do. just have to ask your self do you want want intel processor or AMD this will be your hardest choice lol. then make sure your motherboard socket is the same as the processor socket. atleast 2 gig of DDR2 ram and a SATA hard drive. I have a WD raptor HD. then video card PCI express 16. either 7950 or the 8800 nvidia card. atleast 500w power supply. cases you can spend alot or nothing at all. my case cost $45 and does jsut fine. or you can go all out and spend alot on it.

just make sure you get dual core processor and some artic silver for the heatsink that goes on the processor. if the heatsink already has some on it (like my 5200+ AMD athlon 64x2). just scrap off and clean per the artic silver instructions.

heck yeah! for 4000 you should be able to play next to all 3D games and have a top of the line monitor, graphics card, mobo, RAM... everything..... are u gonna build it yourself? you'd get exactly what you want that way. go to www.newegg.com and but the best of everything.... since its the best of everything it should be compatible with eachother..... but the more cash you have the better stuff you can get so have fun with it..... just save sum money for games and windows vista!

You could get top of the line for 2000 with moniter and all if you build it. Go to newegg.com and buy your heart out, its cheap there.
