I have a DellDimension E520 computer, and it has no slot for a floppy disk. Problem is, I need to use a floppy to get information from a previous computer. All of my info is on the floppy. Now, how can I get this information? Is it a lost cause? Is there something I can buy to transfer the information? HELP!

I'm beginning to see flash drives that have as much as some older HDD and was wondering is there a max size (GB) for flash drives?

How do they differ from a HDD? In what way do they differ? I know flash drives don't have mechanical parts like HDD's but I don't understand the difference otherwise.

I have just purchased a TFT monitor without a power cord. It is rated for 12V and 3 AMP. I have a wall-to car adapter that outputs 12V and 3.5 amp. I plan to install a cable between that and the monitor. Will the difference damage the monitor?

I simply wish to scan this document into a word processor, and add, delete, and otherwise make changes.

I have made several attempts with this HP all-in-one printer using its buzzTwain OCR software, but the document scanned to msword is unreadable.

Can someone instruct me how to successfully scan a doc to msword, and edit the text?

On one ocassion, the doc was successfully scanned to word, but when I attempted to edit it, a "format picture" dialog box appeared. HELP

It is a formal document that has my signiture.

I'v been able to print at least 40 or more pages & still is coming out just fine, why do they want me to put in new cartledge of ink so soon? Is it just a way to make more money selling ink? I have 5 cartledges left so I don't need to order any more, oh guess this a silly question but just curious about it

I had to reformat my hard drive and I thought I had the driver files saved on my external hard drive, but, ... sigh... they aren't working. I dont have internet access, so I will have to find them on another computer and burn them to CD to load on my IBM Thinkpad T40.

Any links to the PCI ethernet controller would be greatly appreciated.

Recently someone brought their laptop to my apartment. Although I do not have internet access they were able to piggyback off of some wirless internet connection from some nearby building.

If I am going to buy a laptop soon, what EXACTLY do I need the laptop to have in order for me to take it out of the box and connect to this wireless connection???

In other words, if I buy on online, what "specs, hardware, software" do I need to look for in to for this to happen. I would hate to buy something and then find out I need to buy an add-on.
