with any brand laptop its going to be how it is configured that determines which is better ... theres 100 different configs for every laptop for every piece in it practically... in my experience with laptops the processor is at almost the bottom of my list of whats important ... harddrive speed, screen quality, graphics capability, amount and type of ram, keyboard layout , battery life, and overall size are way more important than processor ... most people have no idea what a faster processor is going to benefit them on in the first place .. everyday speed ..no ... not unless u use processor intensive apps on a daily basis.

I personally prefer Toshiba. I had a Toshiba laptop for a long time and it was just wonderful. Toshiba allows complete control over the use of the battery, with this I was able to get at least 6 hours of battery life out of my laptop. I don't like Dell because every Dell laptop or desktop computer I've ever encountered always seemed to have weird problems.

Dell is much better in my experience. My last laptop was a Toshiba and it crapped out on my after two years. The battery life was horrible, and it slowed considerably after utilizing less than 65% of the hard drive. I've had my Dell for 6 months and it is just as reliable today as it was the day I got it.

neither is greater powerful than the different. in case you pass to Google and seek for: ---Toshiba laptops suck and ---Dell laptops suck you will actual see a collection of stupid comments and how their gadget failed in purely some months. See what I mean? I even have 3 desktops at abode--a million Acer, a million Dell, and a million Emachine. this is been over 3 years and none of them had any hardware issues. My cousin has an Acer pc for over 2 years and he has on no account had any hardware concern with it, too. i think of that a pair of million% to 3 % of their products extremely have some concern; and something are because of the idiots who could no longer distinguish between hardware and utility issues, or because of the fact they have been too tough on their laptops.

well personally, i feel that the brand name Toshiba is much more efficient and better compared with Dell. i say this as, Dell are not an advanced company and in the past there desktop computers had problems of being slow.

Toshiba, on the other hand are a leading company and are advancing all the time. they are reliable and are more efficient. i own a Toshiba laptop, and it has lasted me for years.

I have owned Dell laptops and found them to be reliable and sturdy. I am not too familiar with Toshiba laptops. I would compare the their warranties and other features, such as software and hardware specs. With Toshiba you can probably get more features for your money than a Dell. Dell's software that is included is sometimes limited. Hope this helps.

As an IT professional I would advise you to stick with Dell. We work with dells and toshibas and I see much more problems occuring with toshibas than Dell. Which is ok to a certain point: when you try to contact Tech Support, Toshiba's is VERY bad. I would rather deal with Dell support all over the world, Indian or American accent is fine by me as long as they can help. Toshiba simply cannot help more often than none.

But My advice if you can afford it, buy IBM laptops. IT pros choice by far.

You will get a lot of picks on this. Personal opions.

But as a support professional, I have found Toshiba to be better support when called, and also I have had to replace lots of motherboards in Dells because the powersupply plug wears out.

Don't know about Toshiba, but Dell is pure garbage. Mine had safety recalls. In the world of laptops, think of it as a Ford Pinto. Just junk.
