Find out what your tv has for inputs and what your computer has for outputs first and if you don't find they match then you can buy an adapter. Check out www.tigerdirect.com to see what is available.

Best thing i found was a HDMI to DVI cable from Radio Shack. Hook that up to the laptop, press function F5 (or some similar combo) and good to go.

you should be able to connect your laptop to your TV by either getting the connection or you could use a cable cord like the one you use for cable. I connceted mine by using a cable cord, but it depends on what type of laptop you have. I have a laptop that can be connceted to tv and tvs and dvds connect to it so i guess it really depends on the conncetions on the back of your TV and laptop.

If your TV has a VGA input (highly unlikely) you can plug right in. Otherwise you will need a converter box of some sort. Something like this: http://www.smarthome.com/7743.html
