I'v been able to print at least 40 or more pages & still is coming out just fine, why do they want me to put in new cartledge of ink so soon? Is it just a way to make more money selling ink? I have 5 cartledges left so I don't need to order any more, oh guess this a silly question but just curious about it

You hit the nail on the head.
They want to sell more ink.

Keep a spare cartridge on hand for when you do run out, but keep right on pritning until it runs dry.

It is warning you that it is ALMOST out. Not out. It's just giving you a little heads up in case you have a lot of printing to do and don't have an extra cartridge.
