My computer is as follows:
Packard bell imedia (i think its nearly 2 years old)
pentium (R) 4cpu 2.80GHz
2.80GHz 504 MB of RAM
Intel extreme graphics 2

I would like to be able to play the latest games exspecially the sims 2 with all expansions.
What do I need to upgrade and would it be cheaper/easier to upgrade or buy new?
Any help appreceiated

for a minute or two? I have to click on the mouse to restore the screen and how do I correct this. no screensaver or background shows up, the screen just goes blank if I pause long enough to read a news article, etc.

Guys, I got an 80 GB on my Windows XP Pc, plus I also have a spare 40 GB drive with some important programs and Windows 98. Is there a way to make a single volume out of these two drives or do I have to hook it up as a slave on my PC?

they want you to buy them? And what do you recommend...my computer died on me and I'm using a horrid old one now...I really need a good PC quickly, for college, and gaming would be nice too. But programs I need for school are really an issue. So, would it be expensive to buy a Vista computer right away, or do you think the prices will go down? How long do you think that would take? I want to spend $400-$700, do you think they will be more expensive than that? And of course, when will Vista PCs be available?

I have a 400 Hz Gigabit Ethernet G4, running OSX 10.3.9, with the ATI rage 128 pro agp 2x graphics card ( ADC and VGA).

Just got an Apple Cinema Display 20" DVI and bought the Belkin ADC to DVI and plugged it in, but what happens is this:

The machine boots and the apple shows and the wheel starts spinning, then the screen turns black, and nothing else happens. The machine sounds like it boots all the way. When i start in single user mode the screen works fine so i suspect that it has something to do with the OSX, or perhaps differing resolutions between the card and the display? Vga displays fine on this graphics card but my screen is so old and blurry it drives my eyes crazy! The Cinema display works perfect with other newer macs.

Does anyone have have any idea why this is? Apple states here: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=58692 that this combo is supposed to be possible..

I recently had my computer worked on...(had spyware & virus..etc.) and supposively got updated one (windows xp professional) But when i got computer back, I had no sound!! I am trying to wipe clean and start fresh with these two old PC's I have at home. They are both running windows ME but but are messed up full of old unused files and probably a few viruses. On my computer i had a system file deleted. My warranty covered this so i recieved a new hard drive. A couple of months ago a transformer failed. My computer died and I had to get a Recovery Cd from Sony. I have the Recovery Cd but I want to recover my old hard drive and it is in a box. How do I recover that hard drive. How do i connect it to my PC to recover it. I want to get some old files back. I know that i can have more than one hard drive. I want to have two the one in my Pc and the old one too.
