the battery only can charge up to 48%. Should i get a new battery? I am thinking of using the same laptop for at least 2 more years. :) Thanks!

did your battery qualify for the battery exchange program? some batteries were overheating. you might be able to trade your battery for a new one. here's the link:

Yes, the older the battery gets, the shorter it holds a charge. You need to buy a new one.

You should get a new computer. The new MacBooks are cheap and they can run circles around those of iBook G4's.

yah most of them stop working after 2 years i had my g3 ibook the battery still works. (10 minutes)
