Personally, I dont think that it will make a difference if you leave it on or off as far as saving ink, but i recommend that if it's just a printer that you use for personal stuff, and you dont use it very much, then you ought to just turn it off when you're done. Leaving a printer on will in time, wear the parts out. When you keep electricity circulating through a circuit or a part, then in time, it will burn out. There is only a certain amount of time that a part has before it will wear out.

Some printers every time you turn it on and moves the head around and such it resets, will use more ink. So my advice would be leave it on all the time, after all printers nowdays don't use much electrical power anyway.

For some reason Epson recommends turn their printers off when not in use, but I know as a fact at least mine every time it is turned on it initialzes the heads, move back and forth, and it uses some ink. - So maybe yours does the same. It is up to you, but I would just leave it on, it won't hurt.

I hope this help.

its better to keep ur printer on bcoz if it is a dot matrix printer no problem but if it is a INK JET or BUBBLEJET or LASER printer the head turns to and fro from the container to the position leaving some inks. but be sure that ur printer is being protected by an UPS or a stsblizer in order to make the printer safe even if the power has some fluctuations.
