If you feel like spending some dough, maybe you should get Partition Magic. I saw an instructor at school use that. He was able to change partition sizes on the fly. Pretty cool.

Search the web for Disk Partitioning software. There's one called "Partition Magic", and there are others. I've used a product called "xxclone" which worked pretty well for me. What it will do is shrink the existing partition, then create a new one right after it. Usually it's a no brainer operation for the software, but, buy an external drive and back up everything first, in case you manage to mess up something. I also think you might want to reconsider. I've partitioned hard drives into two partitions myself, C: and E:, and it really doesn't seem to help much. The system is no faster, and overall it can't hold any more data. So your best bet is just set up the one partition to use all available space on the drive, with the exception of the small partition (D:) that Windows likes to set up to use as backup.

Unfortunately, in order to partition the drive, the drive has to rewrite the partition table to the disk, which means that all of your data will be lost. You are going to want to back up your important data before you do that. Once the drive is formatted, you cannot partition the drive again without reformatting the drive.

You stick your windows xp cd in. Then you boot it up with the cd inside. Then a command will appear on the black screen saying to press any key to go to the setup or watever. Then a blue screen will come up and u have to go through all the loading but then u have to select somethin i just cant remember but ull be able to get it from there easy. When u reach the final menu, u wont have to delete the first partition you can just creat a new 1, just follow the instructions
