When I'm working off line, my monitor display is normal but when I go to the internet, the display is enormous, I have to scroll across the screen to read a page.

My manual says IDE 1 Master HD, and slave DVD. Ide 2 master DVD. That is how I set it up. Second answer told me never put DVD on same IDE as HD. What is correct? Also how do I check the bios, and what should it read?

Alright hey everyone im about to build my first actual comp!!!!

Ive rebuilt them before but i have never full out bought all the parts and assembled it!!!

Heres my plan!

Either:
Pentium 3 3.06GHZ or Pentium Cor 2 Duo 2.0GHZ
2GB DDR400 (PC3200) Memory
450 W PS
350GB 16MB Cahce HD
256MB Nvidia Video Card.

However heres my delema the motherboard i want to put in i can find a case for . the Audio ports on the back of the board are Horizontial instead of Vertical.

Any suggestions?

minutes i turn on my computer, the colors on the monitor changes. e.g the green color changes to dark orange or brown then it changes to normal after sometime, then back to the dark orange/brown color again. is it my monitor which is the problem, or is it a computer virus?

Can someone tell me the correct configuration and settings if I'm installing 2 burners (IDE 1 & 2, slave, master). I installed 2 burners. When I booted up, the system recognized the brand, then while searching for drivers, started saying cd-rom and dvd-rom, and then I got the blue screen fatal error and computer restarted itself. After it restarted, I looked in device manager, and the brand name wasn't there. It only said master IDE controller, primary controller and secondary controller, as if some type of genetic driver were installed. Please help.

i plan on upgrading on a new case/frame. i use my computer for EVERYTHING, gaming, modeling, homework, simulation, movies, everything. i have lots of spare hardware i would like to see added, got any ideas on a sweet case to throw it all in? i got an ATX board, with 2 DVD-RW drives, a memory card reader that takes up a floppy bay, and i would like to add my 5 inch and 3 inch floppy drives added, just for a retro feel to the system, no PSU and the biggest you can find, but no server stuff

when computer is off, you cant even see where it shot it. When I turn it on, have colored streaks going horiz. through the middle and a round circle with colors and streaks, etc where the pellet shot.

I have a computer tower that will hold up to 4 disk drives and 2 hardrives but I dont have a motherbord that has the ports for the 4 disk drives. is there a way to hook the disk drives up with out loseing my 2 hardrives I was told that they dont make ribin cabels for 4 disk drives

Alright i have 512MB Of ram i want to upgrade to 1GB Of ram, however when i look to buy new stuf i find nothing that fits my board. My board takes rames with 3 diffrent slits. Ram i see today only has 2. Is it time to upgrade my MB?

Problem is, I got rid of the tower as I moved from the US to Europe (did not think about copying that reference) and Microsoft will not release a number or an info to unblock it without the Windows number on the side of the Tower. When I insert the hard drive in the new computer it sends me a message asking to put a long number in the empty spaces and I don't have that number (yes, the one on the tower !!!) I really have a lot of important info on that hard drive and I need them. Does anybody know what to do without having that number. Your help would be really appreciated. Thanks

I am trying to see if there is anything out there that a public man can get hold of to automatically backup my hard drive

Basically the situation is that i do it manually about once a week, but there is always that week gap...so i was wondering if there was something out there that could sort of mirror the hard drive to another hard drive, so if i work on a file and save it, it will also save on the other / external hard drive automatically with out me doing anything!

Be very useful if we could get something like this!
