I have a laptop Dell computer that has windows XP on it. I have an external cd/dvd burner of which I purchased from Dell last year. I am using Pinnacle studio 8 which I love to make and burn the slideshows. I have been to Best Buy and bought different things to assist me with a full complete burn without success. All I want to do is complete a full dvd burn of slideshow pictures which is usually about 10-20 minutes worth of dvd time but my computer shuts down in mid burn but will burn other shorter picts of 2-3 minutes. So is this a memory issue on the computer itself or should I add it just to the program? I am confused....PLEASE HELP WITH AN ECONIMICAL ANSWER....THANKS SO MUCH.

i talked to somebody on ebay and they took off the listing because of scamers. The listing was for a alienware laptop and and she is trying to sell it to me for 600$. I asked what it was for and she said her mothers surgery and them i told her that i couldnt afford it right now. let me clarify something- my mouse buttons aren't reversed. both buttons perform the function of the left button. i can't do anything from control panel and the mouse options, or the folder options. any ideas?

My printer want except the cartridge that I refilled. It was excepting it for a bit but then it wouldnt print colour and it was switching to black instead. I really need the colour because I have an assignment due. What I want to know is why isnt it working and is there anyways to stop it only printing black? and before all you smart asses start asking me if it is empty it isnt empty coz i got it refilled again and it still wouldnt work. I have a Leadtek Geforce A6600GT, and I just found out I've been an idiot for ages by having both the Leadtek and the NVIDIA drivers installed..Luckily it didn't seem to cause too many problems, but I want to update the drivers in any case, so the question is, do I go with the NVIDIA ForceWare drivers, or with the Leadtek drivers?

Does anyone know what the advantages/disadvantages of using each are?

so this is kinda a two part question...my computer is really slow. its only like 3 years old, i have a fiber optic connection here, but its still slower than it should be. i have adaware and spybot to get rid of adware and i defragment regularly but nothing seems to make my comp go faster. i have a lot of audio and video files on my comp, would that slow it down? thats why im considering an external harddrive, so i can save everything to that and still keep my comp fast unless somebody computer saavy has a better solution. i think a external drive would be good to keep movies and tv show seasons on anyway, instead of just keepin here. whats a fair price to pay for one and what brand is the most reliable?

I lost the sound on my laptop. When I push the mute or volume button on the fron of the computer the volume level shows about half full but it won't let me raise ore lower the volume. It is as if it is permanantly muted but it says that it is not. The only sound I ever get is an occasional loud beep.
